====== IRC - Internet Relay Chat ======

Internet Relay Chat, or IRC for short, is an established, purely text-based chat system. It enables discussion rounds with any number of participants in so-called channels, but also conversations between two participants (queries). New channels can usually be opened freely by any participant at any time, and it is also possible to participate in several channels at the same time.
