====== Securely overwrite files that have already been deleted ======

Deleted files can be securely overwritten as follows to prevent them from being restored:

  * Enter Win+R to start the Run dialogue
  * Enter cmd and press ENTER
  * The command prompt appears
  * To securely delete files on the C: drive, the command must be entered as follows:

cipher /W:C:\
</code>

The programme takes quite a long time to run, but it is thorough. Running the programme once is enough to securely delete files.
